Dana's great grandfather, Charles Dana Gibson, was a renowned painter and illustrator at the turn of the last century. Today, he's probably best remembered for creating the Gibson Girl of the 1890's, closely modeled after his wife, legendary beauty Irene Langhorne. Her great aunt, Nancy Astor, was the first woman to be elected to the House of Commons and another aunt, Nancy Lancaster, was an owner of the esteemed firm Colefax and Fowler.
